Principal Technology Manager, Rohde & Schwarz

Meik Kottkamp has more than 20 years of technology experience in the cellular industry. He is Principal Technology Manager within the T&M market segment organization of Rohde & Schwarz in Munich. His responsibility covers strategic marketing and product portfolio development for existing and new 3GPP technologies. His focus is on 5G NR in particular covering industrial applications and he represents Rohde & Schwarz at 5G-ACIA. Meik joined Rohde & Schwarz in August 2007 after 11 years with Siemens and NSN, respectively. He holds a Dipl.-Ing. degree of Electrical Engineering with focus on radio frequency technology from the University of Hannover / Germany.

Johan Wibergh

Johan Wibergh joined Vodafone and the Executive Committee in May 2015 as Group Chief Technology Officer and CIO. He is responsible for all aspects of Network and IT in Vodafone including strategy, architecture, vendor executive management, delivery, operation and performance, technology security including Cyber Security, product development, all IT systems including digital interactions with customers. Vodafone operates in 25 countries and has more than 500 million customers in mobile and fixed, fixed broadband passing 130 million households and over 22 million TV customers.

Peter Weichsel is Partner of Deloitte Consulting and leads the Digital Transformation service offering. He has more than 25 years of professional experience in digital and technology topics, as consultant, in line management roles as well as founder of various startups.

He is experienced in business transformation and technology strategy with specific experience in digital product management, innovation and architecture. Peter Weichsel supports in particular large corporates across various industry sector in their digital transformation. He has extensive international experience working frequently in Europe, Russia/CIS, Middle East and Africa and India. Peter has frequently supported CTOs in defining mobile network technology roadmap and investment strategies but also led large cloud IT transformations.

Rob Soni

Rob Soni

Robert A. Soni (Rob) is a leader at Nokia Bell Labs in the Access Lab. He supports the key technology leadership insertion opportunities from Bell Labs into commercial mobile networks product. Rob also serves as the co-CTO of Mobile Networks for Nokia. He leads a team of architects which drive insertion opportunities as well as develop and innovate on the next generation of Cloud RAN related solutions for cellular networks.

Rob started Lucent Technologies in ’98 as a Member of Technical Staff. He became a manager in ’03, and a director in ’09. When Lucent Technologies merged with Alcatel-Lucent, Rob led the CTO organization for the ‘small’ cells team within wireless networks. He also ran all architecture and system engineering efforts in Alcatel-Lucent. After the merger with Nokia, he led common architecture and system engineering efforts within Nokia. In ’18, he moved to Bell Labs to lead/assist portfolio insertion and innovation opportunities for Bell Labs.

Rob has a Master’s [’95] and Ph.D. [’98] in Electrial Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Cincinnati with a BSEE in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Rob has also taught extensively at Columbia University (New York City, NY) and the New Jersey Institute of Technology (Newark, NJ) as an adjunct professor.

Ritchie Peng

Ritchie (Honghua) Peng

Mr. Peng is Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for Huawei’s Wireless Network Solution. Mr. Peng leads Product Line Management & Marketing, including product planning, marketing strategy, marketing programs, brand building and demand generation across Huawei’s portfolio of wireless network products and solutions.

Mr. Peng joined Huawei Technologies Co. ,Ltd. in 2000, and has held several senior leadership positions including Director of Mobile Innovation Center (MIC) for the Wireless Network Product Line Management Department in Europe, President of UMTS domain, and President of (DIS) Digital Indoor System domain.

Mr. Peng has more than 18 years of experience in wireless R&D, product planning and management, he has in depth understanding of wireless market, technology evolution and solution requirements.
